Homemade Beef Ramen

Ingredients
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Hard boiled egg (most prefer soft boiled)
- Lime wedge
- Green onion
- Garlic clove
- Ginger
- Sirloin steak
- Ramen noodles
- Beef broth
- Soy sauce (light sodium) or coconut aminos
- Hoisin
- S/P
Instructions
Prepare the steak:
Season the steak with salt, pepper and marinate for at least 30 minutes. Once marinated, searing it in a little bit of olive oil over medium heat. Set aside.
The Stock:
In the same pot, toss in the garlic and ginger and cook for about 3 minutes. Add the coconut aminos, hoisin sauce, and broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes.
Making your Egg:
Boil the eggs for about 4-5 minutes in water for soft boiled eggs. For hard boiled eggs, extend that time to 10 minutes. Place the eggs in an ice bath.
Create your Ramen!
Divide the ramen noodles into 4 bowls. Add 1 cup of broth to each bowl, then top with steak. Peel, halve, and place the eggs accordingly. Sprinkle with your choice of toppings, and enjoy!

*Baking soda is commonly used in Chinese cooking when marinating meats to help tenderize the meat. A little bit goes a long way to do not go overboard.*
